On–Screen Keyboard Now

On- screen keyboard is one of the contenders of virtual keypad! In this case, it displays a virtual keyboard on the computer screen that can be installed on any Windows computer. It can be used to type text into all standard programs running on the computer such as wordprocessor, database, spreadsheet, drawing program, Internet browser, etc.

To select items in the on-screen keyboard just point and click with the mouse or pointing device or by using scan and switches. As you point and click to the required item, for example you click a letter, the letter is typed into the word processor. It’s just like the ordinary keyboard. If using switch scanning selection set or keyboard, the highlighter moves along from item to item and when the switch is pressed, the highlighted item is selected and the letter is typed on the wordprocessor screen. When an item is selected it may generate either digitized or recorded speech or sound, or synthetic speech. You can change the voice, volume or pitch of the sound in the speech control.

Which on-screen keyboard program is best? It depends on what you want to do, who you are and how much money you have. Some programs are particularly for computer- literate people. Often this program is expensive. Some programs are suitable for classroom use, which has a lesser feature.

On- screen keyboard was designed to help a person use a computer more easily. It is often suitable for people with visual impairment as well as with physical difficulties. Also, it is a big help for those people who do not know how to type.

Why don’t you try an On-Screen Keyboard now!
