My Mirror TV

Last time I have talked about talking mirror, which monitors what activity is going on inside the house. This time I will be talking about Mirror TV.

Philips, which is the world's largest supplier of television display solutions for the hotel industry, has announced its Mirror TV technology. Mirror TV combines the practical qualities of a stylish mirror with the benefits of a high-resolution LCD television that will continue to satisfy you. It is basically a two-way mirror with an LCD screen behind it. When the LCD is activated, you see the display. When it's turned off, you see your reflection. The concept is that it is a mirror when it is off and it is a TV when it is on.

The Mirror TV could be placed on the wall as a centerpiece. It is slim and compact that saves space and fits in anywhere. The frame can be customized to match interior design.

The mirror TV provides a wide range of functions beyond TV programming. For example in a hotel, it can be used for pay-per-view movies. It can also be used as a desktop/workstation application. Individuals can link their laptop or home PC to the Mirror TV with a special connector that enables the mirror to become an LCD monitor, providing a large display for presentations or surfing the web.
