Future Mirror

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest fair of all?

The talking mirror of the future is here. This fairy tale fashion is now available for your homes. Is it a fairy tale come true?

When we’re out of the house or even when we’re sleeping, there are a lot of “what if” come to our minds. Like what if someone will get inside the house and take all treasures. What if there is something strange happening in the house at night? Thus, researchers believed that there is a need to keep an eye on our houses.

Themeaddicts Inc., a startup company that turn fantasies into home products like the talking mirror, has this new concept. It is one of the patented products in the Themeaddicts line. The mirror looks like the traditional mirror. It plugs into an AC outlet. It includes sound recorder, in which you can record your own message. The technology could monitor who is in your premises. It monitors what activity is going on inside the house. It could also monitor facial expressions, posture and what objects are being touched or moved in the house. When the home security system senses a change in the environment, the mirror notifies you of the change. Once notified you may check it directly on the monitor. The mirror is connected to cameras, sensors around the house. Once those alarms are activated, the mirror will alert you.

How much will it cost? For sure it won't be cheap.

Great Flexible Display

Have you imagine yourself unrolling a screen and put it to a table, with your wireless keyboard, you start typing, and get on- line? Are you tired of replacing your credit cards every time it breaks? Do you have cracked glass displays on your cell phones? Is it time to replace your bulky computer monitors? Is it time to replace your rigid screens?

Are you ready for the generations of bendable television, computer and cellphone screens? The technology of flexible display is now on the horizon!

The advantage of flexible display over the current display is that it is lighter and more durable. Its life span is longer. The current display is rigid and fragile. I think all of us are worried for our smart card to have a crack. And we are also worried that our cell phone display may break.

Flexible display technology is applicable to smart cards, transportation cards, medical cards, and screens for television, computer, mobile phones, game consoles, and PDAs. Other applications include watches, 3D glasses, and even in the field of military.

One of the challenges of this technology was the image quality once the screen or display has been flexed. However, researchers are just gifted of such knowledge to answer problems like this. They have this amazing technology, which can create an image quality on flexible substrates.

The technology could be manufactured using a low-cost, high-efficiency mass production method however we just don’t know how much the screen would cost. Sometimes knowledge is expensive.
