Adidas Plus Samsung Phone

My daughter is a good runner. She usually join marathon in her school’s Sport’s Fest. Indeed she won this year’s activity and as a reward for her, I plan to buy this vertical slider, 2.4-inch TFT screen Samsung SGH-F110, which is made in cooperation with Adidas. This phone is not revolutionary nor a high-end gadget but is good enough to feature 2 MP camera, microSD memory card slot, MP3 player and FM radio, with TFT screen that has QVGA resolution in 262K colors.

It is a sport phone because it offers useful functions to track every performance, such as a pedometer, a heart beat monitor, number of calories burned, and also the distance traveled. Also, the model comes with sports headset, 3.5mm audio jack remote and an armband.

PayPerPost: Blogger’s Avenue

I immediately search the Internet when I heard about PayPerPost from a friend who used to gain in here for almost a year now. PayPerPost aims to help Bloggers, like me, to find advertisers willing to sponsor specific content. I visited the website and register. When my blog was approved and ready to take some of the opportunities, I have looked first all the lists that advertisers have created and later choose one in area of my interest.

I believed that PPP is a good avenue to promote any website, product, service or company, by creating buzz, gaining links for search engine and others. This is a great place for Bloggers because there is a payment to compensate for what have been written, we will be benefited from all the sales and traffic we have helped generate. I know that we are free to write or say anything we want but should also consider word of mouth ethics.Furthermore, I have learned a lot from my friends, who I have gained from PayPerPost. Being new in the world of blogging they have shared some tips and hints to be a better Blogger.

Finally I decided to get involved in the business because I want to help my family for the money I will be earning from this. I also hope to be a successful Blogger, not only to earn money but to learn many things in this world.

The Rich Com Prepaid Phone Cards

I used prepaid phone cards as a cheap and effective tool to keep in touch with my family in Middle East. I prefer to use these cards because it is very convenient. Since it is paid for in advance, I do not need to carry many coins in my pockets and in fact I can even use it from any phone and payphones. In case I run out of stocks, I need not to worry where to buy because these are sold at all over the places like in convenience stores, newsstands, travel agencies, motels, post offices, ethnic supermarkets, major supermarkets, retail and grocery stores.

The Rich Com is my preferred phone card center since it makes buying phone card and calling card online simple and easy. The site is my place in search for the best phone cards with much cheaper rates when compared from any large companies like AT&T, Sprint and others. Thus, I usually visit and use the website every time I wish to call international destinations from Asia to Middle East and Europe.

It is so easy to get one. Just choose the country and click “Get Phone Cards". Sign up a free account, which takes only a few minutes, to purchase. After that someone from TheRichCOm will contact you for activation. You will learn how to how to purchase a phone card once received a confirmation email.

Eleksen's Double-sided Fabric Keyboard

Last December 2006, we talked about fabric keyboard by Eleksen. Eleksen has been all over the fabric keyboard phenomenon right from the start and today there is an interesting proposition- Eleksen's double-sided fabric keyboard!

A second keyboard on the other side? Yes, one surface of the double-sided USB fabric keyboard has a set of QWERTY keys for cell phones and other handheld devices, and on the other side a calculator and media controls such as page navigation, and quick access music controls.

Like just about every other fabric keyboard out there it is lightweight and flexible and rolls up to fit in your pocket. It can be folded, scrunched and washed without breaking and highly durable.

Mini Robot For Your Treatment

Today there are many types of flexible and inflexible endoscopes are used in inspecting and performing medical procedures. Anyway, endoscopes are long slender medical instrument for examining the interior of a bodily organ or performing minor surgery. And most endoscopy procedures are unpleasant for the patient. But because of the advances in optics and instrumentation there is a leap from traditional open operating techniques to the minimally invasive surgeries of today.

The mini robot will be placed inside the body (at the affected area, of course!) by means of surgical incision. The mini robot can capture and gather pictures and relevant information. It can take tissue samples and can perform medical treatments. When the mini robot is remotely positioned to the affected area, it is then controlled and guided using a magnetic resonance imaging or MRI, defined as the use of nuclear magnetic resonance of protons to produce proton density images. Then the image is seen in the computer during the procedure.

Actually, this technology was first tested in animals, and we are going to be the next in line! Isn’t it great?

Flying Car in the Future

In few more years, we will no longer be affected by traffic jam we can fly whenever we please, and take off and land from wherever we please, in our very own vehicles!

DoCoMo Aroma

DoCoMo,which means “anywhere" in Japanese, is a NTT subsidiary and Japan's biggest mobile service provider. What’s the latest? They have just come up with a new way of keeping its users fresh and comfortable while talking on the phone.

Sony Ericsson has a new aroma handset for DoCoMo, the "SO703i," which comes with scented sheets designed to relax the users while making calls. It offers nine aroma choices for the consumer, each coupled with a different panel design.” It is like there is a storage compartment in phones that can hold perfume cartridges and release their scent at appropriate times, such as when receiving a call. And perfumes are linked to panels’ colours.

USB Ashtray

Smoking is awful and smelling a second hand smoke from someone’s lighted cigarette is so nasty! However, with the help of our technology today, this USB powered ashtray is the answer.

USB-powered ashtray sucks in smoke and blows out marginally-less smoky air. USB powered ashtray will keep your room smelling good by absorbing and filtering cigarette smoke into fresh air. The ashtray can hold up to four cigarettes simultaneously and easily fits on your desk.

This device is USB powered. Alternatively, it can run on a couple of AA batteries. Odors smoke will pass through the filter and absorb by the carbon. When it is plugged into any available USB port, a fan will begin to turn, sucking any smoke upwards and forcing it through a carbon filter.

The USB powered ash tray is modeled in the shape of a car and opens up halfway to reveal an ashtray. Tray and filter can be removed for easy cleaning. Open and close the cover to turn the device on or off. And it is available in color red, yellow, blue, green, and silver. Price is just right. It is economical.

Illuminating Shirt For Me

Philips Electronics, a global leader in healthcare, lifestyle and technology, delivering products, services and solutions, has succeeded in embedding arrays of red, green and blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) beneath the surface of textiles, making it possible for soft furniture and clothing to come alive with numerous patterns of colored light. Integrated electronics drives the LEDs to create fixed or moving patterns of light that bring the magic of illumination to the textiles.

Philips’ Lumalive technology features flexible arrays of colored LEDs fully integrated into the fabric, without degrading the softness or flexibility of the cloth. These light emitting textiles make it possible to create materials that can carry dynamic messages, graphics or multicolored surfaces.

The jackets or shirts are comfortable to wear. The electronics, batteries and LED arrays are fully integrated and invisible to the observer and wearer. Maybe you wanna ask how to wash the clothes? Simply disconnect and reconnect batteries and control electronics after the garment has been cleaned. The light-emitting layer can be easily removed and refitted to the jacket.

The products include features that make them practical for daily use. Light-emitting textiles have important potential applications in medicine, healthcare and personal safety. I think it is beneficial for those who usually bikes or walks at night. It prevents them from any automobile accident and the like.

These first-generation jackets are ready for commercialization by companies partnering with Philips Research, particularly those in the promotional industry looking for a new, high-impact medium.

Barbie Doll Moves

We know that Barbie doll became one of world’s best selling toys and has been icon of American popular culture, artistic muse and lightning rod of feminist politics. Did you know that the creator of this stuff was Ruth Handler?

There is a great variety of beautiful Barbie dolls and attractive accessories available in the market. Through the years, the Barbie dolls have developed their looks and designing. But what is the latest? I just heard from television that Barbie dolls can move parts of its body. Barbie doll movements depend on your movements. I still don’t know how they do it. But I am gonna tell to everyone as soon I have an ample knowledge about it.

A Barbie dolls is not a new attraction. It is a full-time passion. For a granddaughter, a grandmother can choose the Barbie, as she must have played with it in her childhood. Buying Barbie dolls have just passed through generations.

Barbie doll was really a spontaneous hit. Actually I have three in the house. The two was given to me when I was just a child while the other one was given to me when I celebrated my debut. They were all lovely!

Laptop Buying Guide

What kind of laptop is right for you? For those people who always travel, size and weight are the two most critical factors in choosing a laptop. Students need a laptop that is small and light enough to lug back and forth across campus but rugged enough to withstand bouncing around in a backpack. Business power users need a well-balanced system, a good performance and a wide variety of applications. For those people designing a Web site, editing home movies, you will demand a powerful processor, plenty of memory, great graphics, and a healthy hard drive.

What to look for when purchasing a laptop?
Hard Drive: An important consideration to think about when purchasing a laptop. The hard drive is the equivalent of a computer's closet. It is the destination of all your files and information. Maybe get the maximum size hard drive, considering you will eventually always run out of space. A laptop computer should come with at least 40GB.

Memory: Know the amount of memory included in the laptop and also verify if it can be upgraded in the future. A general rule of thumb, get at least 512MB of RAM.

Processor: Low power consumption is a primary consideration in the choice of a laptop processor. When buying a laptop, make sure the processor says "Mobile" somewhere in the description as in Pentium 4-M or Pentium 4 Mobile or Athlon XP Mobile. Processors designed for mobile computing generally consume less power, and thus run cooler than desktop processors. This is important because you want your battery to last a long time and you also don't want to burn a hole through your lap.

Drives: Laptops can come with various drive configurations such as one drive bay where the CD-ROM and the Floppy drive are interchangeable; two drive bay laptops generally have a floppy solution as well as CD-ROM solutions; no drive bay which allows for a laptop to be extremely light and utilize external drives instead of internal. Also, consider the option of a DVD or CD-RW drive as opposed to a CD-ROM drive.

Battery Usage: Determine how long the battery lasts. Always ensure that the manufacturer clarifies what the standard battery usage life is when using the laptop in all power modes. Some manufacturers indicate a battery usage time in the lowest possible settings. So be cautious! There are two main types used in notebooks- NiMh’s and Li-ion. Li-ion batteries are superior and more expensive holding more of a charge. If you want long battery life without the expense of a Li-ion battery, eliminate components you don’t need.

Video Card: For video games, a machine with the proper video card is important. Video memory is dedicated to storing information about images on your monitor. If you want sharp and clear screen resolution, stay away from a notebook with “shared memory”.

Sound Card: Find that most standard sound cards which will suit your needs. Advanced sounds cards increase the amount of speakers that can be used and in some games and programs and the sound quality and capabilities. Sound quality also matters.

Display: The display is also an important consideration. When looking at the display, ensure it is large enough for your needs. Suggested size for a laptop display is at least 12" and recommended LCD size of 14".

Weight: Remember that the lighter the laptop, the easier it will be to carry.

Lock: This is for security purposes while on the road.

Remember also that in purchasing laptop ensure it comes with legal software. Determine the software if it is on a standard CD and not a burnt CD. Ensure that if the software requires a license or registration number that it was included with the computer.

The following video will teach you everything you need to know about purchasing the perfect laptop computer!

Tips in Buying Refrigerator

Since there is a wide range of refrigerators on the market, selecting/buying one requires a great deal of thought. I do hope that these buying tips will help you decide which features best suit your needs.

Of course, there are many considerations. Refrigerators vary widely not only in terms of design, but also in performance.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Each model has an Energy Guide sticker that will show the annual energy consumption, measured in kilowatt hours (kWh). Then you should look for as low a number as possible. Newer refrigerators are all typically quite energy efficient.

SIZE: What size do you need? The dimensions are also an important consideration. Standard refrigerators are usually roughly 5.5 feet tall, top-mount range from 24" to 36" across and about 27" to 32" deep and compact ones usually about 20" tall. However the internal dimensions may vary. In deciding what to get will depends on your needs. A young, single person may simply have somewhere to keep drinks and leftover. While a couple with teenaged sons may get a larger size. Remember that a model that is too big wastes both money and energy, while one that is too small could waste energy if it becomes overcrowded with food and drinks.

SHELVES and STORAGE COMPARTMENTS: Height- adjustable shelves are a great convenience, particularly if they're split into half-width sections that can be arranged to suit your needs. Basic models have one or two crisper drawers and a dairy locker on the door. Some units feature special bins such as butter enclosures, meat bins, and vegetable crispers. Other features include wine racks and snack trays.

BUDGET: This is one of the basic considerations when choosing a refrigerator. You can spend several thousands of money on a refrigerator with all the features you are looking for, or several hundreds of money on a basic version that might be smaller and have few features, but still holds and chills food sufficiently.

WARRANTY: It's always a good idea to check warranties when buying refrigerators. Warranties vary on refrigerators. Most models come with a full year of coverage on the whole appliance, including all parts and labor. Some offer warranties of up to five years on the sealed cooling system, including compressor.

Here are some of the refrigerators available in the market:
Side-by-side refrigerators: Freezers have large capacity and convenient configuration. It features an ice maker or a water dispenser.
Top-freezer refrigerators: It offers smaller freezer compartments than side-by-sides. Top-freezer models are less expensive than comparable side-by-side refrigerators. The good thing of this type is that it can hold large horizontal items like pizza and birthday cakes.
Bottom-freezer refrigerators: These refrigerator freezers are the most energy-efficient.
Built-in refrigerators: These are special type of refrigerators where you can customize to coordinate with your cabinets.
Compact refrigerators: These are small models generally can hold a few day's worth of groceries.

Make sure the refrigerator doors are properly closed. And organize the contents in your refrigerator to ensure good air circulation around the items and so you won't spend a lot of time looking for what you want.

The following video will somehow teach you how to clean a house efficiently by cleaning the refrigerator.

Technology for Spine Surgery

A new computer-based navigation system for spinal surgery has been designed. The development of computer-aided procedures over the past years has led to significant improvements in surgical interventions of the spine.

The emergence of highly sophisticated, three-dimensional intraoperative imaging systems makes spine surgery safer. This was achieved by combining intraoperative fluoroscopy-based imaging using conventional C-arm technology with freehand surgical navigation principles. Modules were developed to automate digital X-ray image registration. Utilizing these new technologies is potentially safer for the patient by minimizing risk, and limiting the need for postoperative surgical revision.

This new type of fluoroscope is now able to provide three-dimensional (3-D) CT-like images in real-time during surgery and also provides imaging data. The computer analyzes imaging data that it receives either prior to or during an operation. The imaging data is then displayed on a monitor, which the surgeon observes during surgery. The navigation computer can reconstruct and display from any and all perspectives.

What about its cost? No wonder this technology is costly!

I may not have explained to you the details but I just would like to inform all my readers about this wonderful technology.

My Mirror TV

Last time I have talked about talking mirror, which monitors what activity is going on inside the house. This time I will be talking about Mirror TV.

Philips, which is the world's largest supplier of television display solutions for the hotel industry, has announced its Mirror TV technology. The mirror TV provides a wide range of functions beyond TV programming. For example in a hotel, it can be used for pay-per-view movies. It can also be used as a desktop/workstation application. Individuals can link their laptop or home PC to the Mirror TV with a special connector that enables the mirror to become an LCD monitor, providing a large display for presentations or surfing the web.

On–Screen Keyboard Now

On- screen keyboard is one of the contenders of virtual keypad! In this case, it displays a virtual keyboard on the computer screen that can be installed on any Windows computer. It can be used to type text into all standard programs running on the computer such as wordprocessor, database, spreadsheet, drawing program, Internet browser, etc.

To select items in the on-screen keyboard just point and click with the mouse or pointing device or by using scan and switches. As you point and click to the required item, for example you click a letter, the letter is typed into the word processor. It’s just like the ordinary keyboard. If using switch scanning selection set or keyboard, the highlighter moves along from item to item and when the switch is pressed, the highlighted item is selected and the letter is typed on the wordprocessor screen. When an item is selected it may generate either digitized or recorded speech or sound, or synthetic speech. You can change the voice, volume or pitch of the sound in the speech control.

Which on-screen keyboard program is best? It depends on what you want to do, who you are and how much money you have. Some programs are particularly for computer- literate people. Often this program is expensive. Some programs are suitable for classroom use, which has a lesser feature.

On- screen keyboard was designed to help a person use a computer more easily. It is often suitable for people with visual impairment as well as with physical difficulties. Also, it is a big help for those people who do not know how to type.

Why don’t you try an On-Screen Keyboard now!

Virtual Keypad For Today

I just wonder how the virtual keypad works. Do you have this device already? Do you know how it works?

If computer monitors can shrink to almost nothing, why not keyboards? The size of the keyboard can be minimized but we cannot resize our fingers. Do you get it? That is why Virtual keyboards were designed! They were actually designed to accompany portable devices like PDAs, tablet PCs and cell phones.

Virtual keyboard provides a full-size computer keyboard that disappears when not in use. It uses both infrared and laser technology to generate an invisible field and project a full-size keyboard on any surface. The keyboard watches the user’s finger movements, interpret and record that action into keystrokes in the device. It reacts exactly like a real keyboard. Really amazing!

Also, the device has sound effects control, intensity of projector keyboard, time out settings, to conserve battery life, and it is key sensitive. It Works with laptops, PC's, Windows Mobile, Palm OS5 and Smartphone.

This virtual keypad is good for businessmen, tourists, students, high- tech employees, lawyers, field engineers and the rest who wants to experience comfort and security.

I hope I could have one in the future!

I think this is no longer new to you! But I just wanna make an article about this game console.

Nintendo Co. Ltd. sold of its new Wii video game console in the United States more than twice the number of PlayStation 3 sold by Sony Corp. Nintendo Wii costs half as much as the latter. Many gamers lined up at retailers hours to ensure they were among the first to get!

The console was Nintendo's smallest home unit yet, measuring 44 mm wide, 157 mm tall, and 215.4 mm deep. And it can be placed either horizontally or vertically. Wii console features wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device. The remote can detect motion and rotation in three dimensions. It allows users to control the game using physical gestures as well as traditional button presses. It also features WiiConnect24 which enables to receive messages and updates over the Internet. The console is backward compatible with all Nintendo GameCube software and GameCube peripherals.

What’s in its name? Don’t you know that it is first named as Revolution? However, revolution is not ideal because it is long, and in some countries, it maybe hard to pronounce. How Wii was created? The word Wii sounds like “we”', which means that the console is for everyone. It can easily be remembered by people all around the world. Furthermore, "Wii" spells with two "i"s to connote a figure of players gathering together. What’s important is that Wii is short, easy to pronounce, and unique. There are ads slogan that has been posted in the US such as "Wii would like to play" and "Experience a new way to play".

The console was awarded with the Grand Award Winner in Home Entertainment this month, December.

Science Rocks

Australian scientists have invented a T-shirt that allows air guitarists to play actual music as they strum the air. They have created an objectless musical instrument, or 'air guitar'. It is actually called the WIS - the Wearable Instrument Shirt!

For your information, air guitar consists of a wearable sensors attached in a conventional shirt. The shirt has sensors in each elbow and sleeves to detect and interpret the air guitarist's arm movements. With the help of custom software the gestures are then connected wirelessly to guitar audio samples to generate the music. And the sound generated is like an original mp3.

The development of this electronic textile technology is an integration of technology and know-how in electronics, conductive textile structures, and software. Electronic textiles have rapidly become popular in many personalized technologies, such as mp3 controls and computer keyboards.

We can now experience the future of intelligent clothing!

Talk To My Car

Are you familiar with the American television series "Knight Rider"? Do you remember the intriguing talking car used by David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight?

Do you imagine how cars will talk to other cars surrounding you? Research groups are developing wireless technology that will allow vehicles to communicate with each other. In this process cars collect local data from their immediate surroundings, process this information and exchange it with other cars. An intelligent computer system decides whether and when a car is to transmit a hazard warning to another vehicle.

Digital wireless communication in ad-hoc networks ensures a significant leap in this technology. Ad-hoc communication networks based on wireless LAN technology provide the possibility to give a virtually unlimited range of performance and making the car itself serving not only as the sender and receiver, but also as the router.

The technology enhances the benefits of dynamic navigation systems. For example the car transmits information regarding any obstacles and the like. On the navigation screen, the driver sees not only his own position, but also that of other vehicles’, following from behind and of the vehicle ahead. Ensuring a convenient and safety travel at all times.

Further, the car also acts like a sensor. The car "senses" the current situation, monitoring weather conditions, traffic flow, road conditions and the car's surroundings, whether the road is slippery, whether there is fog, whether conditions are wet, or whether there is a traffic jam and other conditions.

Then, what can you say about the car in the future?

Hi- Tech Autos Today

What was the latest and greatest electronic technology in vehicles?

NEC Electronics America Inc., have developed an image recognition technology that detects lane markers in real time. This advance in technology is really of great help for everybody to avoid car collision and the like.

How is it possible? In order to recognize obstacles, white lane lines, pedestrians and other items, many hi- tech sensors were integrated in the car system. Different motor companies employ different types of detection system like using infrared laser radar, using a stereo camera and image recognition, using a CMOS sensor and a circuit to calculate distance, and maybe a lot more.

What about the cost? I think developers of this technology have common crucial difficulty: cost! As long as they want to provide us the best goods in the world nothing can be a hindrance!
